1 – No parents allowed in the training area at any time. Please allow the coaches to do the evaluations without any interruptions or questions. Coaches will briefly talk with the parents at the end of each session.
2 – Please make sure all players have proper gear for tryouts (soccer cleats, shin guards, correct size ball for their age group, and water). The NSFC Arizona coaches and staff are not responsible for any lost or stolen items at the complex. Please keep a close eye on your belongings.
3 – Please arrive to the tryouts at least 15 minutes early so you don’t have any issues with check in. Make sure to check in first before heading to the field for tryouts.
4 – Players born 2004 and older may tryout for one age group higher (ex: Player born in 2004, may tryout for 2003 team). All players born 2005 and younger may only tryout for the designated age group.
*IMPORTANT–If you are 2004 or older and tryout for an older team and do not make the cut, there is a possibility there WILL NOT be an open spot on your correct age group. We recommend that you go to one tryout with your appropriate age group one night, and then tryout with the older level the next session. The coaches from each age group will collaborate and then decide where the player should be placed for the third session on Saturday.
Please make sure to notify our staff at check in if you are wanting to tryout with an older team.
5 – If we do not have enough players at two corresponding age groups during tryouts, we might consider combining the two teams together and have them play at the older age group.
Ex. 2010 and 2009 combine due to small numbers from both tryouts. This group would play in the 2009 age bracket due to having older kids on the team.
6 – We WILL NOT have players switching teams during the season at all. Once a player is selected for a team, (Blue, Red, White, etc.) they will remain on that selected team for the duration of the season (August-April). The players may be borrowed for scrimmages, league games and tournaments if needed.
7 – Have fun, smile, and be a support for your child. All the coaches and staff are human and may have areas to improve on. Please be patient, find the good in every practice and game, enjoy your Sundays and Mondays off with your family and friends. Thank you for being apart of the NSFC Arizona family!!
